Privacy Policy

1. Summary

• No account and no sign-up.
• Your food diary, profile, weight and goals are stored on your iPhone.
• Only the meal photo or text description you choose to scan is sent for AI analysis, and photos are not kept after analysis.
• We do not sell your personal data.

2. Data stored on your device

Your diary, goals, body details (sex, age, height, weight, activity level), water log and settings stay on your device. You can delete all of it from Settings in the App at any time, or by deleting the App.

3. AI scans

When you scan a meal, the photo or the text you typed is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and to our AI provider to identify foods and estimate nutrition. It is deleted after the analysis and is not used to train AI models. You agree before your first AI scan; manual logging and barcode scanning work without it. Barcode lookups query Open Food Facts with the barcode number only.

4. Apple Health

If you turn it on, the App writes your weight to Apple Health and reads active energy burned. Health data stays on your device, is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties.

5. Analytics, crash reports and attribution

We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) for anonymous usage events and crash logs, and Adjust to measure which campaigns lead to installs. These services may process a device or app-instance identifier, device model, OS and app version, and country. This data is not linked to your name or email.

6. Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Website purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which collects your email, country and payment details under its own privacy policy (https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy). Subscription status for both is kept by our subscription provider RevenueCat so the App can unlock Premium. We receive the order details needed to provide Premium, never your full card number.

7. Sharing

We share data only with the service providers above, to provide the App, and with authorities where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, or object to its processing. Email support@toolstudios.app.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted with a new effective date.
